UK citizens and companies will be barred from owning .eu domain names

With over 3.7 million registrations, the .EU is widely used in European Union countries. England has more than 300,000 .EU domain names and ranks among the top 4 countries with more .EU domains, behind France, the Netherlands and Germany.
 

However, a decision from the European Commission will change this rank. Indeed, After Brexit organizations that are established in the United Kingdom but not in the European Union and Uk citizens will no longer be able to register or renew .EU domain names.
 

For the moment no information has been communicated on the exact date of implementation of this measure but we will keep you informed on how to keep your .EU domain name(s).
